FERTILIZING SCHEDULE - 3 times a year*

1 Late March-Early April
Fertilize: apply slow-release 3-1-2 ratio fertilizers (recommended formulations 19-5-9, 19-4-10, 21-7-14, 15-5-10)

Some would applyWeed and Feed here, but we recommend applying a pre-emergent weed control in February, and applying only a fertilizer here.

2 Late June-Early July
Fertilize: apply slow-release 3-1-2 ratio fertilizers (recommended formulations 19-5-9, 19-4-10, 21-7-14, 15-5-10)

3 Late September-November
Winterize: apply winterizer formulas for winter hardiness
Ratios will vary, but make sure they are "winter" or "fall" formulas designed for southern grasses.
(examples: 18-6-12, 8-12-16 will make lawns winter-hardy)

June - early September: if turfgrass looks yellow (chlorosis) or necrotic, use an application of either granular or liquid iron. Once a year, should be enough.

*Note: The above 3 fertilization tables are based on you using slow-release formulas made especially for Texas grasses.
